Description	C2C12 Cells (GFP11 Clone) was established through transfection of retrovirus vector to carry the eleventh β-strand of GFP fused to the c-terminus of FLAG-14-3-3. The cells express GFP once myofusion occurs. It is a valuable tool along with the C2C12 Cells (GFP1-10 Clone) (Cat. No. T8003) as they function as a split GFP-based assay to evaluate compounds that promote myofusion and myogensis, and to study the diseases related to muscle loss such as muscle atrophy.
Procedure Overview
Propagation	The base medium for this cell line is Prigrow III medium available from abm (TM003). To make the completed growth medium, add the following components to the base medium: fetal bovine serum (TM999) to final concentration of 10% and 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin (G255). Atmosphere: air: 95%, CO?: 5%; Temperature: 37.0°C.
