TCID is a novel potent and selective inhibitor of ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase-L3 (UCH-L3) with an IC₅₀ ~0.6 μM. It has ~125-fold greater selectivity over UCH-L1 (ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase L1, IC₅₀ ~75 μM).
